Advising lawmakers on the design and creation of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub Program and the $8 billion in funding appropriated through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Through members involved in each of the selected hubs, CHFC continues to advocate for the hubs with Congress and the administration to implement the program.
CHFC was a key participant in the design and creation of the 45V hydrogen production tax credit with lawmakers, the implementation of the tax credit before the IRS and Treasury, and in successfully advocating and educating lawmakers on the importance of maintaining the 45V tax credit in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
CHFC initiated the shift to CO2 intensity-based classification of hydrogen production methods and away from color-coded categorization in federal policy, an approach that has been replicated by global organizations.
To catalyze a clean hydrogen industry in the United States, CHFC designs and advocates for federal policies to scale the full supply chain for clean hydrogen production, transport, storage, and use, as well as the technology development and infrastructure needs across multiple sectors.
